Syphilis / TP Test
The Syphilis / TP test strip / dipstick is intended used for qualitative detection of antibodies (IgA/IgM/IgG) of Treponema pallidum in human serum or plasma. Each strip is composed of sample pad, conjugate pad, nitrocellulose membrane and absorbent pad. The conjugate pad contains colloidal gold conjugated with recombinant protein of TP and Mouse IgG. The nitro cellulose membrane is immobilized in form of lines with recombinant protein of TP at test line region ‘T’ and goat anti-mouse IgG at control line region ‘C’. When a strip / dipstick is dipped in the serum / plasma up to ‘MAX’ or arrow mark, the specimen is absorbed and migrates immuno-chromatographically by capillary action across the nitro cellulose membrane along with complex of colloidal gold conjugate with TP antibodies present in the test specimen. Syphilis / TP Test
Syphilis / TP Test is a rapid test based upon the principle of immuno-chromatography for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgM/IgG/IgA) of Treponema pallidum (TP) in human serum / plasma as in aid to diagnosis of Syphilis. Each test card contains a strip composed of sample pad, conjugate pad, nitrocellulose membrane and absorbent pad. When an adequate volume of specimen is dispensed along with assay buffer into the sample well of the test device over the sample pad, the specimen migrates immuno-chromatographically by capillary action across the nitro cellulose membrane along with complex of colloidal gold conjugate with TP antibody present in the specimen. Appearance of pink / purple lines at test line region ‘T’ in addition to pink / purple line at control line region ‘C’, indicates that test specimen has detectable level of antibodies of TP and shall be considered reactive for Syphilis / TP.
